Finally broke down and saw a doctor. Life is more fun without the cough!!
How to stop coughing
How I did it: I tried to wait it out and take over-the-counter medicine but when that didn't work I went to my school's wellness center. I took my medicine how and when I was told and took care of myself and now I feel better.
Lessons & tips: Take care of yourself!
Resources: My college wellness center and some medicine and TLC.

Stopped coughing at last!
Stopped smoking, started swimming every day, started running and cycling and enjoying life. It is realy easy, If you strugle to stop smoking, try replacing the adiction with exercise!
It is more adictive and healthy and fun.
How is this NOT worth doing?
At any rate, my cough has subsided to the point that I can now mark this as “complete.”
I HATE coughing.
It was bad enough when I had bronchitis back in December, but now I’ve caught the cold that my wife and baby have, and I’m coughing again. Not quite as bad as in December, but still annoying, particularly when I’m on the phone.
Being sick really sucks . . .
Whether it was the flower essences, deep breathing, time off work, getting over my ex, or therapy that finally did it, I am no longer coughing constantly!
My lungs and heart are feeling happier again. I think sometimes coughing is a socially acceptable transfer from crying. We don’t need to make quite the same excuses for intense coughing attacks as for breaking down sobbing. The lungs encircle and protect the heart from too much grief and when it becomes too much they spasm, to the same rhythm as sobs.
Good luck and healing to all that pursue this great goal.
co-worker says it sounds like it could be bronchitis but I haven’t yet become desparate enough to seek out a doctor. I read that coughing is a subconscious expression of the desire to rid oneself of feelings of loss of control. at least the fever seems to be gone.
I’m very happy to say I’ve finally stopped coughing.
I gave up and went to the doctor…
...twice

it’s really subsiding on it’s own. i still have a weird cough in the morning. and still, when i cough, it’s such an exhausted cough. my insides are so tired of coughing. but its not constant anymore. i think i had a little coughing fit last night.. but that was that.

i think the bi yon piam herbs are working…
i just said screw it to modern western medicine. it’s a young and biased and virtually mysterious art that no one has mastered and hardly anyone knows whats really going on to the entire chemistry of the body. the chinese have been working with herbs a lot longer than we’ve been goofing around with benzodiazepines. i think i’ll stick with the bi yon piam for a while. no side effects and my cough is a lot more mild. i’m even sleeping at night. WOW.
