... We were supposed to be moved into hubby’s grandma’s house by Christmas (she moved to town in Sept.), but the house still isn’t cleaned out. I’m thinking that I’m going to dig up the flower garden and put my veggie garden there. I was planning to at least maintain them as best I could, but if she doesn’t have enough consideration to get the piles of crap out of her house so we can move in, I don’t see why I should do anything for her flowers. So now I have a place for my veggie garden! evil laugh

This will obviously have to wait a few months as there’s about 4 inches of snow on the ground right now. In the spring, after we move, I would like to plant a vegetable garden – peas, carrots, lettuce, chives, peppers, onions – just a small one for the vegetables that I like. Maybe some raspberry bushes too and strawberries. I’ve never really planted anything before, and I know that a flower garden wouldn’t interest me. Why do all the work for something that’s just there looking pretty for a few days? I do want to plant a flowering vine of some sort to grow up over my arbor though as well as some bushes between the house and the road so people driving by can’t look right into our windows.
