I hate when people say “I wish I could jump higher.” “I wish I could play guitar.” “I wish…”

I tell them: “No you don’t. You don’t really want to jump higher. You don’t want to play guitar. You just don’t. If you did you’d get out and do it. You’d work at it. You’d train at it. You’d devote time and effort to get where you want.”

I don’t wish I could win a first place trophy or a gold medal. I am going to win one.
