I liked this better than Girl with the Pearl Earing.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Not only did I burst out laughing many times, but it gave me an idea of what to expect when children come into my life. A compelling read that I could not put down.

The third book for my Women’s Empowerment book club. I’m surprised to find what was widely advertised as a book on effective Communication is almost 90% focused on public speaking. When I chose this book, that was not my intention. My second disappointment was that tone of voice is very info-mercial-isque. They spend the first and last chunk (at least a couple of pages) of every chapter selling you on the idea and how greatly it will improve your life before actually telling you what the idea is and detailing what it’s components are. Not to mention that the book also seems like just another opprotunity to plug their speaking organization ESI (Effective Speaking Institute).
But once I got past all of the things I didn’t like, there were some kernals of information in it and so it wasn’t a total waste. But, had I paid the $25 sticker price instead of the $10 on the web, I would have returned it. I’m actually a little embarrassed that this book is on my reading list for the group and not looking forward to explaining it.
2.5 out of 5 stars.

The 2nd book in the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer very good anxiously awaiting for Eclipse from the library.
zeplin912 is celebrating Earth!
Second book of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series.
Uhm, all the main characters go through a puzzling plot, traveling foward into space to eat at The Restaurant that let’s you experience the End of the Universe. Also, they meet some new people, steal a stuntship, and get transported into space once again to a beautiful planet at it’s beginning.
I would go in order with these books, but this is a very good one, and I think it promises that all the books will be interesting and hillarious.
