Delivered on May 16th via VBAC 12 months ago

My ob’s office showed two due dates for me: May 11th (Mother’s Day) and May 12th. The baby didn’t come on either of those days. My ob wasn’t comfortable waiting past 41 weeks. So, if the baby didn’t come by the end of the day on the following Monday, May 19, I told her we could schedule a C-section for May 20. Well, we waited for Victoria’s readiness to come, and she joined us on May 16th. Almost didn’t arrive to the hospital in enough time. The ride from my doc’s office to the hospital was 15 to 20 minutes and I went from 4 cm to complete within that time. The baby was out within 25 minutes of arriving in Labor and Delivery. I was in too much pain to put on a hospital gown on my own, and there certainly wasn’t time for any pain management. The nurses had to put the IV in my arm and take my blood after I had already started pushing. Happy ending. I gave birth to a healthy baby girl who was 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and 20 and 1/2 inches long.

Lord willing 18 months ago

I’d really like to deliver our next child, vaginally. A new obstetrician (to me), who does VBACs has deemed me to be a good candidate for attempting a VBAC. I’m praying that God’s will be done. However, if I can have a petitionary prayer in this, I’m praying for God to make a healthy (for baby and me) VBAC to happen.
