How to learn a dead language
How I did it: I did it at university... it's surprisingly useful and not really 'dead' at all! The worst bit is definitely the verbs - I used to dread hearing the word 'declensions' - but it's great knowing that even now, twenty years later I can write 'Hegestratos and Dikaiapolis got on the boat to Byzantium' without even thinking about it!
Lessons & tips: Study hard - it can feel really difficult but when you can start to read texts in their original language it all becomes worth it!
