I’ve been working on xmas presents pretty non stop and only have like 8 left to go. I’ve gotten sidetracked by a few baby and birthday gifts but I still think I can get it done.
How I did it: I started knitting all my xmas gifts back in febuary and am done with all of them (I think). I also have made every single birthday present this year. It's nice to be able to do something creative as well as give gifts that were created solely for a specific person not just giving them something mass-produced.
Lessons & tips: Start early and give yourself plenty of time. It seems as soon as you feel your list is complete someone else pops up.

I’ve finished on xmas gift and am working on another but I’ve gotten sidetracked by a baby blanket for my stepbrothers daughter to be. The blanket is tedious and I hate the colors so it’s just kind of dragging along, I take frequent breaks to work on more fun things and have created 2 patterns in the last week.

Well I got the last person figured out, then realized I forgot a few people. so now I have 4 more gifts to figure out. I now have 26 gifts to make by xmas, but I still think it’s a great idea and I hope I can get it all done and not just buy crap for people like I usually do.

I have figured out something to knit for everyone (save one) for christmas. I don’t useually do much for birthdays because it can get expensive with an ever expanding family so xmas is my main focus.
Despite being in a complete crafting lull for the majority of the year, I managed a few computer-assisted gifts for the holidays—a mix CD that several people received, and I gave away the CDs I’d made of audiobook downloads (for my own use, which I was finished with), which sort of counts, doesn’t it?
A small embroidered purse for my niece’s birthday. I still have to make something for my sister’s birthday (I think it’s going to be an altered picture frame or maybe a mini scrapbook) and a mini scrapbook as a new baby gift for my brother & his wife. For this month.
Very happy with the purse, especially because I was able to work on it during quiet times at work, though I kept it down out of sight. Bad for my tough image to be caught embroidering on the job….!
Use my papercrafting/scrapbooking skills and supplies to make more gifts for family and friends.
