I read my Bible daily, but I only managed to stay on the schedule for about a month and a half…then I just wandered off into my own reading as usually. It’s kind of hard to only read what that piece of paper tells you to, and at the same time its hard to read whatever you want and still find time to go back and read what is on the piece of paper (or whatever you have your one year schedule on). Well next year is another year to try and make it work. For now I am in Psalms and 1 Timothy. On an unrelated note one of my songs was inspired by Psalm 70 if you want to check it out….

Cover to cover
I have been reading the bible since I was five years old, yet there are a few books I have still not read. I find that the Pentateuch, except for Genesis and Exodus, have always been the hardest reads from me. These books cover a lot of genealogy and Mosaic Law…which is hard to digest sometimes, but this year I want to read through the bible from Genesis to Revelation, and all the books in-between. Some people find the Old Testament to drag, but I honestly love it!!! A lot of my growth over the years I credit to the way God has spoken to me through books such as 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Nehemiah, Job and Daniel. Anyways, I digress…God willing I’ll be able to do this over the course of 2009, using the schedule on BibleGateway.com….here is the link if you feel inclined to complete this goal with me!!!! http://www.biblegateway.com/resources/readingplans/comprehensive.php
