CropTillDawn~ Summertime R&R on the Beach.
for sharing all of your celebrations with us.
We gave them some little Hanukkah gifts and once again they gave us our first Christmas gift under our tree :)
My Friend SHARON! took all the kids to the Holiday lights neighbourhood and she said her(Jewish) kids had a great time yelling Merry Christmas, with my daughter, out the car windows to all the strollers looking at the lights and displays.
It’s good to hear her laugh.
Bill in IL until 7/21/2009 which is 9 more nights. oh, hi. Did you miss me?
being a virtual guest at Segsy’s Hanukkah celebrations,
the timing wasn’t with me. And it’s not like I can ask to have Hanukkah delayed until I’m ready. :(
Sorry to have missed all the fun.
Collectorofjunk has everything she needs for Summer.
And I believe Hannukkah has already started but I have a candle lit and am joining in spirit.
Adar is getting stuff DONE!
but I haven’t posted much. Here’s my virtual chanukiah:
This was a fun goal and I learned from my fellow 43things friends too. See everyone next year!
With sadness, yet fond memories, I lit the last of the candles tonight. It was a very quiet night, just my wife and I. We ate a small dinner at a neat sandwich shop in town, then came home and watched a little TV together. Lastly we lit the Hanukkah candles and said the Bracha (blessing, prayer).
I love this holiday. We’ve had exciting nights and quiet nights. Long nights and nights we went to bed as soon as the candles burned out.
This was my families first Hanukkah and I can say that it was a wonderful success! See you all next year.
I am sorry to see Hanukkah go.
Thank you all for celebrating with me. It’s been fun!
See you back here next year!
I went to an event this evening in campus, so I got another lightning for free :P
On the way back I had to witness a line of Habad cars with their big Hanukiya on each car and loud, annoying music, disturbing what was a lovely night.
