care less what other people think

I won an international pagaent but returned the title shortly after because I was overwhelmed by the commitments (6 months living abroad). I felt in my heart that it was the right thing to do – but the fear of rejection and distain from my superiors frightened me. I am proud of myself for backing my beliefs and confronting the issue. Although my stepping down ruffled many feathers – I still feel peaceful and calm about it.
