How I did it: About two months ago i decided that i wanted to get my septum pierced. so after a few weeks of hardcore begging my mom she finally agreed. so we went to this place in the mall called untouchable tattoos (they do piercings there. like pretty much every tattoo place does) it was like 50$ there. including the actuall jewlery. okay so i sat in the chair and the dude marked the spot in my nose with a marker. then he laid out the jewlery and he put the little clamp thing on my nose. then he told me to take a deep breath. so i did. then he told me to let it out. so i did... nothing. then he said take another breath. so i did again. and when he told me to let it out this time i felt him shove the needle through my nose. im not gonna lie. it hurt really bad. it also hurt when he put the jewlery in. but everyone else says theirs didnt hurt i think its just because of the guy not being very experienced because he pierced the cartalage, put the wrong jewlery in, didn't explain how to clean it, and he also did it slightly crooked. so make sure you check out the place first. lucky for me i already know a little bit about piercings and how to take care of them cause i have snakebites or it might have gotten infected. be carefull! Lessons & tips: dont do it yourself, get it professionally done, &check out the place first.

my mom says i cannot get any facial piercings which really ticks me off, she says i cant because its going to leave scars and i cant get a job which sucks because i have never wanted anything in my life than one facial piercing
i have asked her for months and she still said no
so i want to pierce my septum first, hopefully she wont notice i mean it is inside my nose. but i am scared

i have wanted a septum ring for pretty much ever since i was a least 13( now at age 17)
and seeing as its the easiest of all the peirceings i want to hide
my best friend was going to do it for me cause he does all kinda of peirceings
but i havent seen him in forever so i my just do it my self

Well I finaaly got my septum done and all I have to say is…..WOW!!! Well I just got the septum kit today c:
I was sooo pumped, excited, and scared to get it done, So I went over to my friends house. She is good at doing piercings she has a lot of experience cause she does my friends and her own piercings =] So I ran to her house as soon as I got the kit. We cleaned are hands, washed and steralized everything. Once this was done I put the clamp were I wanted the piercing. My friend put on her cloves and put the needle to my nose. It hurt when it poked my nose and I thought “Oh shit…This is gonna hurt realy bad”, But I had to suck it up and do it. So she just told me to breath in and it would be over. As I was breathing in I could feel the needle go though..But It didnt hurt one little bit! My friends got off top of me and I was like wait!! Are you gonna push it thought the rest of the way? And shes like its already thought and as I got up and looked in the mirror the neelde was all the way though my nose to my suprise and didnt hurt at all. I was sooo happy I took the retainer slipped it through and everythingwas done and done. My frined came over to see it, The only problem now is to keep it hiden from my father cause he would kill me if he ever saw it.. =\ Hmm should be prty easy to hid it all I have to do is flip it up =D THIS WAS WORTH IT!
I just suggest that if you ever ever wanna do this by your self! Dont use a sewing needle go out and buy a kit. Buy it offline or collect little things here and there when your out shoppin like a 14 hollow needle a 14 ring and your good! =] No sewing needle, and dont pierce the cartalige! You will need a steady hand to do this c;

I have already ordered a Septum Piercing kit that includes a 14g needle, Septum Clamp, And a 14g retainer. So I can flip it up and hide it. c: Im expecting the Piercing kit to arrive in about 4 days. I will keep everyone updates =]

About 2 months ago, I took a sewing needle and an 18g Morbid Metals ring (4 in a pack at HT for 18 bucks) and looked in the mirror and did it. For the record, I first looked up exactly where and how to pierce it. I cleaned it with a Q-tip dipped in antiseptic every day for about 6 weeks, and now it’s completely healed. The best part is you can do this even if your parents don’t approve- when mine are around, I flip it up inside my nose.
I love it, it’s worth it.
EDIT: It hurt like hell for about a half of a second. Seriously, no more than that. After that it was irritating and I had to sneeze a lot, but it’s tolerable.

i pierced it last night. i have a low pain tolerance, and the brief couple of seconds when the needle went through was excruciating… afterwards it was perfectly fine, it still doesn’t hurt (although it’s a little tender). it looks great on me, i highly recommend it
