I never plan a vacation for myself or even think about them as I really do not make enough money to consider time off, when I don’t even make enough to pay off my debts.
But when NKOTB announced a cruise from Miami to Bahamas, I had to do it.
I spent all of my savings on this trip. And it was worth it, NKOTB not withstanding.
I went to the Blue Lagoon (http://www.dolphinencounters.com) and swam with the dolphins and had a beach day. I totally recommend this experience. You will never forget it.
I had never considered a cruise before, they just seemed to lavish to me. But it was amazing. I loved every minute of it. Carnival cruise lines were the best.
There were spas available, awesome food and great room service. Beautiful art work to look at. Just amazing and friendly crew. Couldn’t ask for better.

A very beautiful country with beautiful blue waters and white sands. Though I was only in the Bahamas for about half a day and I only swam at the beach and went to the market, it was worth it.

I have been to the Bahamas twice and was not blown away by it. Don’t get me wrong – it was beautiful and of course every country has its great attributes and the Bahamas is no different – I just found it to be too much a tourist destination and not enough to do to experience the local culture. The only time I did venture out I ended up in a very scary poverty stricken area. It seemed (from my limited exposure) like there are only two sides of the island – resorts and slums.
