I’ve just started my first year (out of 3) and it feels good :)
How to study literature
How I did it: I got my Associate's Degree concentrating on Literature and Creative Writing courses where we also look at Literature. I took World Lits 1&2, American Literature and Creative Writing 1&2 all at a community college! I want to get a Bachelor's Degree in English so I am looking foward to more courses!
Lessons & tips: -If you are just intrested in studying lit and not getting a degree, go to a community college it is a lot cheaper there and the education seems to be the same!
-You will have to write a lot of papers!
-You can also go to amazon and look for used Literature college books which usually have questions after the stories for you to answer and they usually are divided into sections such as setting, theme, foreshadowing, etc. so you know which literature element to look for!
Resources: Montgomery Community College
Norton's Literature books (various titles)
X.J. Kennedy also has various literature books!

Reading’s always been one of the great loves of my life and lately I feel like I haven’t been doing much quality reading. I often regret not changing my major to literature when I was in college. Hopefully I’ll get a second chance, perhaps in the form of a master’s degree.
