How I did it: To give is always a better, more complex and fulfilling experience than to receive. I've made a doll that was the impersonation of a friend as a present to her. It took me a lot of work, cause I had to care for many details and learn to sew and gather materials, but it was definetly worth it.
It was amazing to give it to her, she wasn't expecting it and it end up really good.
Lessons & tips: Observe other dolls or people, if you are gathering information from them. Pay attention to detail, collect materials you like even if you don't know how to use them or what for.
Resources: Felt, fabric, cotton, yard.

I made this for my baby on the way. I love skulls and I love flowers and pink. The Green just worked really well. It is my first completely original dolly!!! It was fun to make and I definitely will make more!

I tried and finally gave up on making my own dolls. A few of mine came out decent, but most of them weren’t fit to display. Eventually I wound up buying the dolls from Primitive Home Decors. They have about 50 adorable primitive dolls and ordering is much easier than making them yourself.
A step in the right direction

I created a craft room in my house. All of my materials, buttons, thread, sewing machine, sewing table, etc are in the craft room in my house, neatly organized and arranged and just itching to be turned into dolls.
