43T is winning, blog is losing 19 months ago

I hardly hardly ever post to my blog. I feel dumb for creating it and telling my friends and family about it and then ignoring it. But I post to 43T all the time. So finally I’ve got the bright idea to take advantage of the would you like to post this to your blog? offer that 43T poses each time I post. Yes, thank you! was my response recently. I should do this more.

    mobil 21 months ago

I’m feeling very fancy lately … I traded in the backpack for a bit of bling. Yes, a mobil phone. Mom’s sure happy about it. And it makes for easier integration into city life.

adding flickr photos to blog 2 years ago

Irieman’s answer to my question …

ME: Hey S, Is it possible to imbed in my blog some kind of feed from flickr, so that every 10 seconds a different photo from my flickr account appears, or so at least a different random photo each time the page is loaded? 43 things does this …. can you?

IRIEMAN: Hey J… Looking for something totally different, I found the solution to your query!

    1. log onto your Blogger account...
    2. Click the "Dashboard" link
    3. Click the "Templates" tab
    4. Choose the "Add a Page Element" link. A new window will open.
    5. On the "Slideshow" option(), click "Add to Blog"
    6. Follow the instructions and save.
    7. Enjoy!

() I noticed that next to the Slideshow option it says “new”. I don’t know exactly how new!

I hope you are doing well in Espana- I’ve subscribed to your blog so I don’t miss any of the good stuff!

    Vaya con Amore!

google widgets added to blog 2 years ago

    From Irieman:

you can add a “widget” onto your blog, that will provide a few thumbnails onto your blog, as well as a link to your flickr page:

step one: follow the steps and get the code from flicker… start here: http://www.flickr.com/badge.gne

    step two: add the widget:
    1. log into blogger (http://blogger.com)
    2. select the “layout” option from your “dashboard”
    3. click “add a page element”
    4. under the “HTML/JavaScript” option,. click “add to blog”. in the window that opens,
    5. paste in the code from step one into the content area (you don’t necc. have to give it title)
    6. “Save Changes”.
    7. Click “preview” to preview it… if it looks right, click “save”. If it doesn’t repeat steps 3-6 as needed.

youtube clips on my blog 2 years ago

    Thanks Irieman:

With the clips on youtube you can simply paste the “embed” code into your blog entries and it will show up as a clickable, playable file; However, this also makes your clips “public”, and anyone with the good fortune to stumble upon your visage can enjoy it at their leisure (this also means the rogue video-bots who like to skim the interweb and repurpose content for their own gain (cough – mefeeds.com – cough) may also chance upon.

You might want to hold off on videos de “la noche de las muchachas” until you decide your privacy preferences (note: you can set YouTube videos to private, but then they won’t play in your Blog and only people with YouTube accounts that you specifically add to a list, can view them).

Anyway, baby steps to victory, right? Thats all for now, get to farmin’!

    Your American Friend :)

sending audio / video home 2 years ago

Irieman is my hero, as always:

Hola J! Most email accounts will let people receive attachments up to 5MB. Some folks (like me) can receive attachments of any size! Does gMail have a limit on attachment size?

You can get an account on places like rapidshare.com to upload your large files, and let your friends and familia download them from there. sites like podomatic.com and odeo.com let you upload an audio file and make it into podcast… you could convert it to a video file and post it on youtube… your options floweth over!

looking at it from a different angle, let me ask “how would you like your friends to be able to get them?” I can help you figure out how to make it easy on your end and for your friends. You know why? Cuz I’m your guy!

Looking forward to your next post. El Guapo
