How I did it: Fate threw me back into RI long ago, and now it appears fate is taking me back. My dad's house got foreclosed on, I'm not moving ahead in my film career, kind of hit a plateau there, and the club night I built from the ground up is about to get dicked over.
As it were, I'm scheduled to leave for Hawaii on the 19th for just over a week and then scheduled to land in San Diego on the 28th. My photographer, who is taking me on the trip, had purposely gotten me a later flight so i could have ten days with my people in San Diego.
After the above things all inraveled in a span of 48 hours, I immediately called the friend I was to be staying with declaring I wish I could just stay there as there is no longer a home or anything really, aside from friends, to come home to.
As fate would have it, for the first time in all the years I have known her, she actually needs the financial assistance and also the friend. So I will in fact not be returning to RI. I also have two friends here, one being my current roommate, who want to move out there in a month once I am more stabilized, thus providing a secure network and living situation--a MUST in San Diego.
I wish I felt more prepared and had more in my bank roll, but I truly feel this is for the best as all the things I excel in the most are more abundant there and now I have much more under my belt than I did the first time around. Read how I did it… 3 years ago
I lived in San Diego for many years. Eight months ago I moved back to Madison, Wisconsin, where I’m originally from. The only reason I left was the high cost of living. I have a great job and a few friends here, but I now see why I left here years ago. Life in San Diego is so much more carefree and (really) nonmaterialistic compared with here. People in San Diego are so much more open to other people. Of course, there’s also the weather and beauty. I miss living there so much and am trying to figure out a way to move back there. I know it won’t be easy to find a job there, but I will take the chance when I get the logistics of a move figured out. 4 years ago
Well, I am back in San Diego. However, I only made it to Imperial Beach. It suits me a lot more actually, I have the beach and a lot of family around me now. I don’t feel as stressed or complacent. Its great really, I didn’t quite make it to Chula Vista, but oh well. I am going to college and its all gravy thus far. I am meeting all kinds of cool people and well San Diego seems to have such a multitude of beautiful women, so thats a plus. I’ve got to see my favorite band play not to long ago at SOMA. NOFX was awesome as always, thank the good Lord for creating such a dope band, even though they don’t support Religion. :( I am truly loving life more than ever now. I can’t complain really, this is totally the happy me. :)

After some time, I’ve actually grown to hate the Antelope Valley with everything that I am. I recently spent some time with family in San Diego and realized; I can live there too… Why not? I am young, single and have almost no responsibilities why not just move back to the place where I was born? I love that place so much, the weather, people, beach. It’s so me, it even has a nice scene of hispanic culture. I am convinced that’s where I am going to move within the next few months! 5 years ago
