    I have had this ankle pain for a couple of weeks. I had already begun to adjust my ways around it. Going down stairs with my foot sideways and such. Friday it became way more than tolerable. I think because I had a really active day on Thursday. I went to the doctor and was sent for an xray. Today the xray report came back and I was sent to a podiatrist.

    I really liked him. I Really Liked him when he made no mention of amputation! Just two weeks of naperxon and aspercream, a week off and then an appointment. It is, he said, the beginning of arthritis as a result of a sports injury I had about twenty odd years ago. Hilarious as I am not a sports person. Perhaps proved by sustaining the injury.

    I have renewed motivation to exercise and walk, walk, walk once my ankle is better.

    Went to sports doctor today-
    going to start seeing sports physio and get an MRI-
    and maybe a brace.

    Hoping I will get better!:)

    I think it is getting better-
    But I am still having alot of trouble-...

    I am going to go to the doctor and try to get referred to an orthopedic surgeon or sports doctor..

    Wow!
    I really wish I would have done this alot earlier.
    I went to a sports physio and they think what I may have is a high ankle sprain-
    So it looks like with an ankle brace and some rehab exercises I may be able to run again (cross fingers)

    Although I might have to perm. wear a brace-
    which sucks-
    I wish I would have gone to physio ALOT earlier- they had way more to say then the doctor

    It feels good to start being a little more proactive about this..



    Task list 12 months ago

    1) Go to Physio Regarding My Ankle
    2) No cycling/ or running
    3) Get orthodics
    4) Take a course of advil
    5) Ice When possible

    Got inmpatient and went cycling-
    totally shouldn’t have done that
    I am certainly feeling it now…eeeK!

    not a fracture though
    got bone scan and xray..

    so soft tissue then…

    whether or not it is a fracture…

    much much better.
    I would do with some physical therapy (money), though, massage and other lymphatic treatments (money), consuming a ridiculous amount of blackberry per day (money) and walking a lot daily.
    Now, since I’m lacking in the (money) dept, I will have to keep on walking and postpone all the other nice treats for Bigfoot.
    Yep, that’s its code name.
