own a business

I’ll give you guys a little backstory. First of all I’m a certified mechanic who can’t find work as of lately. So, I began helping my father at his restaurant. The past few months I have been waiting tables.

If any of you have served you know that it takes a lot of personality to do. You have to be open and talkative.

Well, today I was serving one of my few remaining tables and business conversation struck. I don’t know how or why, but it did.

I began talking with this couple, Sue & Dan, locals with a few businesses and retail lots. They asked me if I was interested in a new opportunity. Of course I was! A mechanic waiting tables! Come on! :)

So we began. They are going to be moving out of the country for good. They pitched me their offers on their real estate as well as businesses. They weren’t anything to scoff at. During the conversation I immediately had someone in mind as a business partner.

Business cards were exchanged as well as a promise to call. I will be speaking with my “potential partner” later tonight. Problem is I don’t have very much saved up. At this point I’m looking to find an “Angel” investor. Preferably close.

Yes, we technically will be a fledgling company but this kid knows the In’s and Out’s of this business.

Anyone interested on a potential business deal? ROI’s up to 15% or more depending on the amount invested. Lets make a deal!

I want to own my own innovative and successful business.

I want to fully own my own online business. I’m currently in the process of this, and have been for the past year and a half (its been my dream to for the past 6 years) and my goal is to launch june 23rd 2009!

Be my own boss. Make my own hours/days/weeks/months/years! Decide my own paycheck. Be the master of my destiny.

I think I want it to have something to do with card-making cuz I enjoy that, but I want it to be different and timely. Letters and invitations aren’t in such high demand and it would have to be eco-friendly too. hmmm…

I will Start it from now till i got it.

Want to run a business on my own.

So after having an overwhelming discussion about my dreams, in a small dimly lit Tapas bar in St. Augustine…

I’ve decided on what type of business I would like to create and own. For now lets say a Holistic Lifestyle Center… and I may have a location in mind.

I’m thinking sales of organic produce, natural herbs & supplements, and organic coffees, teas, juices made to order.

In another area, a studio for Yoga, Tai-chi, Qigong… whatever. After that, maybe a small gym and/or a coffee shop with an open mic every night for live music and poetry.

Next week, we will be participating BIG+BIH exhibition, it’s one of the biggest gift fairs of the year in Thailand. We really hope for some good response after this exhibition! Cannot deny that expectation is there as already spent a lot of money on it..

I want to learn how and set up an onlne money-making business around children’s toys, tools, and later possibly, low cost clothing. I am especially interested in learning of manufacturer’s or distributors that will dropship and picture products on my website, initially. I can’t buy a domain and get started with my website until I first research product and then make a deal with a supplier. Which comes first, after market research, I wonder. Who can help me, step-by-step, without scamming me for Big $, in advance??
