find out what happened to dright812's account and get it reinstated

I did what i could, but the ‘bots have been pretty darn uncommunicative &, as far as i can tell, heartless. At least he’s back, which makes 43T a brighter place!

I didn’t go out and seek some Bible-thumping right conservative fuck, and post some explicit pornogrphy or a link to some porn site!! I was simply engaging in a semi-priviate ADULT oriented thread. IF that offended you, tough shit! You didn’t have to look; and, you closet porn watching freak, you could have simply BLOCKED all adult material on 43Things!! Thanks to you, you small minded simpleton, I have LOST over two years of advice, cheers, laughs, cries, friends, GOALS – both on my list and completed. I WAS 80 cheers away from giving 3000! But thanks to that dead thing that sists on your shoulders, I get to start over!! LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!

Oh, in case you are wondering, No one has contacted me in regards to reinstating my former self. I NEVER got a warning, or request to remove said infraction, I was just deleted; along with all the cheers that I gave out in the past.

It seems to be a harsh penalty for making a simple error in judgment, losing ones history and screen name. Alas, the computer operator formerly known here as dright812 may easily re-establish an account with any unused moniker. Welcome back, sir, to the semi-anonymous world of 43things. Whatever name you might take. Just don’t forget: the robots are watching, and judgment come quick and decisive ;-)

Why would the offensive material STAY on the site, and the account be deleted?

That sounds just a little but, ummmmm…. stupid?

Wow. I would say it is a little bit pornographic, maybe in bad taste. But, DELETE THE IMAGE!!!! If that is the problem, then the sollution seems simple. It’s not like a spammer hopped onto this site and started luring 43thingers to their ‘one stop porno shop of the web’.

Maybe this is all just a great learning experience, and a better protocol may be formed from it. Hopefully it is only that simple.

I think this sort of thing is completely asinine.

Just because what offends you doesn’t offend me, you feel YOU have the right to nominate someone and have them deleted. So much for Freedom of speech and freedom of expression.

I am wanting to ask all those who read this, do we need to be the same in order to accept one another as they are?

I have this button on my mouse that makes it possible to scroll quickly if need be. So the one who reported Dright, didn’t use their button huh… What a shame.

How about religion, Do the Christians love the Pagans, what of those who worship out side a church and receive all they have from the universe? Should they be reported?

I guess what I am thinking is I don’t understand this stupidity. I am not highly educated, but something tells me that the higher you think you are, the lower your class is.

I’ve often wondered what would happen if we or I really should say YOU stopped lurking and looking for something to report and just lived. Maybe accomplish some of those goals you have on your own page. Lets hope someone does not become offended by something you’ve posted.

He did NOT go to some innocent persons page and bother and bombard them.

I am sorry for this, and would like to delete this, and be allowed to continue . . . I’ve seen FAR worse then this on here, and these people are still on here. I’ve been a loyal member since 2005, never caused any problems, and yet, never given a chance to make this right. Please reconsider reinstating my account, Thank you.

If you see worse, please report it—we’re definitely not a porn site and users work hard to remove bad content and suspend accounts when it gets bad. I don’t run that show as we have too many users for us to try and monitor the whole site, hence the neighborhood watch system.

Reinstating an account is not a trivial thing (meaning I don’t have the ability to do so), so I’ll have to check with folks at work tomorrow.

“subscriptions” list, i get “Account no longer active.” I spoke with him & know that he did not close his account, nor did he get notification that his account was to be suspended. I looked through all the entries on Neighborhood Watch & did not find him listed. Please contact him to notify him about
what happened, and please reinstate him as soon as possible.
