Okay, just registered for another round of try-outs at the end of this month. 17 months ago

I will not forget this time, because, right? 3rd time’s a charm! :)

In March I tried out online for LA area Jeopardy contestants and was invited to an audition a few weeks later. We retested, played a mock game, and had an interview at the end of the mock game. It was a fun experience.

Okay, so I didn’t pass the test when I tried, but I plan to try again in the future. It seems a lot easier when you are watching it on TV and answering the questions.

I missed getting through Round 1 (the written test) by 1 question, 3 years ago

a question to which I totally knew the answer, too, I just blanked out in that moment.

I just missed another round of auditions. I will keep checking. Like empressjuju below, I just showed up for that first one. Maybe knowing what to expect and preparing myself, at least emotionally (I did snicker a bit at all the folks cramming at the last minute), will prevent such a stupid brain freeze from happening again.

(Oh, it was: name the author of Les Miserables).

That was the hardest test I’ve ever taken in my entire life. I wanna do it again!

Smartkookie has located her passport, now time to use it.

online audition? 3 years ago

I found out that Jeopardy is offering online auditions this year and I think I might try that. Last time I auditioned I had such a hard time finding the auditions that I JUST made it in time. (They could have been a little more specific than “Navy Pier”) Of course that would mean getting my computer fixed in a timely manner so I could use it.

i had fun and i feel like i did well…but they still haven’t called me… :(

3 out of 300 passed the test 3 years ago

I took the test in 2002 in Cleveland, OH. 3 out of 300 passed the test. My friend took the test in Baltimore 6 months before and she said half the people passed the test. so it just goes to show you it all depends on what test you get.

Go for it! 4 years ago

The audition process was pretty easy – 50 questions at about the $1600 dollar level of the game. Everyone who got at least 35 right got to stay and play a mock game so the contestant coordinators could see a little more of your personality. Then your name goes into a file and luckily you get picked! I was on the show in 2002 and won twice. Good luck!
