see Prince in concert

After many years I have at last got to see the Purple One Live in concert. I have attempted to see him before over the years but it has been almost like I were fated not to see him.

In 1988 I was waiting in the ‘standby’ line (showing my age now) at Heathrow airport to fly to Italy to see him, but the show I was due to go to was cancelled as he was ill.

In 1991 (31st August) I was to see him at Blenheim Palace … the show was cancelled.

This year I got tickets …. for 31st August at the O2…...and I wasn’t gonna get excited until I was there.

Well I managed to get there but things were not smooth. I fell over a few weeks before the gig and smashed up my knee and broke my arm so I couldn’t clap and dancing was well hard (I reckon I must have looked like the honey monster strutting his stuff). Despite this it was a great show and it inspired me to try and get hold of more tickets for another night which I managed to do.

The second time (12th September) was much better for me I was in much better health and my seat was just so brilliant. I could never have imagined just how brilliant it was going to be second time around. Clapping and dancing to my hearts content from begining to the end. Would just so love to do it again, and again & again. In reality though it’s probably not gonna happen.

One thing I did learn whilst there was that I am rubbish at taking photo’s as I so rarely use my camera. So although I have knocked 1 thing off my list, I’m gonna have to add another one (I must learn to use my camera properly)

I saw him in the O2 dome in London on 18th August. It was amazing. I was only in the third row from the stage so I had great views of the performance. Well worth it. He is a fantastic performer and it was cool that he played a lot of his older songs from the 80s and 90s. Would jump at the chance to see him again.

Woohoo! I have a VIP ticket to see Prince in the O2 in London on Saturday 18th August! I’m so excited. I’m so glad that it is on this date as well. 18th August would have been my 7th wedding anniversary if I hadn’t divorced my husband, so I kinda see it as an independance day, so love to celebrate it! I few years back, on that date, I went to London to see Madonna in concert in Earl’s Court then went on holiday to Egypt the next day. So, this is a very special event for me and I’m looking forward to it very much! It won’t stop me going to see him again in Vegas if he’s back performing there when I get there!

YAY!! i have LOTS and LOTS of tickets!!!!

I’m planning to go to Las Vegas this year and I believe Prince is currently performing there in the 3121 Club (named after his last album) so I’m hoping he’s still performing when I go there.

My boyfriend surprised me for my birthday. Told me we were going to go see a show in Vegas and ended up taking me to see Prince! I got the best view in the house, front row, dead center, it was like he was performing just for me, and it was a special show where he brough Dave Chappelle, Ludacris, and Gabrielle Union onstage. Absolutely worth doing, that guy is amazing.

I saw him in December 1998, I think his name was still a symbol back then. He did all his greatest hits, the crowd went wild :) It was absolutely fantastic.

This is TOTALLY worth doing! I’ve seen him twice and would go back again.

The actual best experience I have ever had at a concert. It was so mezmerizing. Not just the fact that I am a fan, but the actual music quality was above and beyond anything I can ever imangine seeing again.

I saw him once about 10 or so years ago. It was awesome! we was 3rd row and so close to him… he is a sexy little man. i went to the show with my BF at that time… (now he was in love with him) I still think about that day! it was so much fun!
