I looked online for some local scuba diving classes. I found one that might work. They do some classroom instruction, lessons in a pool, and then diving in Monterey. Now I just have to see when I can take the lessons. 2 years ago

It took me
30 days
It made me
Breathe under water!

How I did it: Paid about £270 to the diving club, did 4 confined water dives, then 2 open water dives at Wraysbury. Lasted about a month, and was so fun!

The Open Water course qualifies you to go 18m Deep, but if you do the Advanced course you can go to 30, so i definitely plan on doing that eventually. Not until after buying all the expensive kit though... Haha
