totmandy I LOVE CHEESE!!
How I did it: Got the books, and sat down and read them. I read at least one book a day. But, most days, I read one and a half. It was a great series, I had seen the movies but never really considered reading the books. Read how I did it…

How I did it: My brother got the first four books for Christmas one year. At this time, they weren't nearly as popular as they are now, there were no films, and I didn't know much about them. A friend had started reading them and I had laughed at her because they were children's books (I know, it was daft). However, I gave them a chance, and started reading them on holiday. I finished the first three very quickly, loving every minute! The fourth I fini… Read how I did it…

So I’ve read 6 out of 7 books, finishing the last in 2 weeks (got caught up with school and laziness) and the others in about 1 week each. I can’t wait to get the 7th one, I looked 3 different places and no one has it… So I had to ask this guy at school who has a mad crush on me who knows I hate him cos hes a pervert if I could borrow his. But today he forgot to bring it and yesterday I was sick, so tomorrow we can only hope for that Harry Potter book to come into my arms at last! I miss you Harry… its only been 2 days, but UGH HOW I MISS YOU!
So everytime I turn around everyone is talking about these books. I have seen all the movies, but haven’t read the books yet. I hope to find some time to do so soon.
I’m done. A great series. Very touching. She breaks the mold at some points and kills a lot of characters you grow to love and makes you want to cry at other points. A very excellent series.
Tonight, I start Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I’m happy to be finishing the story. I’ve grown to like Harry, Ron, Hermione, and all the rest (especially, for some reason, Remus Lupin), but I’ll be glad to finish the story. Every beginning must have its end, I suppose, and now I rush headlong toward this ending. Wish me luck!
Tonight, I’m going to start The Half-Blood Prince. I’m getting excited to see where everything’s going. You know—when I started reading this series, I thought “Man, I don’t want to read seven books all in a row . . . thousands of pages of the same characters . . . ” but now I’m having trouble not picking up The Half-Blood Prince right now! But I have to study . . . two finals left!
Today, I start Book 5. It’s always hard for me to start these books because I hate the Dursleys so much. I guess you get past them pretty quickly (usually just a chapter or two), but oh how I hate them. Why can’t Harry live with the Weasleys? Why won’t Dumbledore let him do it? She teased us with Sirius adopting Harry. Sigh.
Tonight, I begin Book 4: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. This one’s much bigger than the first three, weighing in at 734 pages. (Incidentally, the first two books combined were 650 pages.) I’m a little nervous to embark on such a long book—especially a children’s novel. From what I hear, The Prisoner of Azkaban is the best in the series and it’s downhill from there.
I hope to start and finish this over the summer. I’ve never read any of the books. I think it’s important to read the series because it is something that defines this generation.
I’ve already read the first three books and looking forward to the next four. I just finished The Prisoner of Azkaban last night (the third one), and it was one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. Rowling is a very talented writer. I’m excited to see what happens in those relationships she only hinted at that are probably coming.
