waste less money

I’ve been using Quicken in the past to archive my transactions, but I recently signed up for Mint.com. The interface is clean and fun, and the budget tool is really helping me get on track. Love it!

I’d like to stop wasting money in the drugstore on products with empty promises and also on clothes I don’t try on.

Well, I’ve been thinking a lot about this, especially because Mom plans on retiring at the end of the year, and believe me, teachers don’t really have that much money to begin with. Plus, I’m going to college next year, so …
So I’ve come up with a list of things that I can do/stop doing to at least save a little money over time.
> bring a bag lunch, don’t buy
> don’t get food every time we stop at a gas station or whatever
> find other things to do than go to the mall/out to eat/to the movies
> ask for manga (/anime) recommendations instead of just buying it
or > read the first chapter or so at the store before deciding
> set a goal for an amount to save
> deposit even loose change into my bank account so it doesn’t get spent

i don’t like money, not sure if that’s why i waste so much. we’ve got a few goals, but still spend so much on CRAP.
