Applied through my university in January, was accepted in March and now I’m waiting for the Swedish visa / residence permit to be issued… Then I’m off to Sweden in August. :-) I’m also planning on traveling around Europe! It’s such an interesting place!!

How I did it: I have studied in two different countries so far (and will start a course in the third this August). My first experience was my Erasmus exchange to Milan, Italy. This was not so mindblowingly hard to organise as my home university did most of the paperwork for me. One just has to fill in all the forms in time. My Erasmus exchange was the best thing that has ever happened to me. Before going on exchange I was pretty stuck - I did not like m… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I looked online for study abroad programs. Came across Semester at Sea. I thought wow, I get to travel around the world and only take two flights....(as you explore the world via ship) We visited Vietnam, Brazil, Hong Kong, Kenya, Venezuela, Hawaii, India, Canada, South Africa!!!!!It was amazing.....It was surprisingly easy...Everything is handled via mail.... Cansu is getting back on track.
It’s gonna happen this fall…
I’m done with school now and off to college, and guess where? Germany! Which is abroad for me, so yay! :)
I’m working on my applications at the moment though, so still nothing stable, but it’s at least 60% sure that I’ll be going. Was a bit hard to convince my parents to let their only child go away though…
Wish me luck! :)
mollyrocks11 will complete ALL these goals
I have to wait UNTIL I accomplish goal #7 before I can proceed with this goal. Specifically, I’m looking into a program where I would undertake my student teaching in England. I had the romanticized idea that I could easily take the Eurorail to see France and/or Italy. To my dismay, however, upon further research, I found that to be extremely costly. Whatever…like that’s going to stop me.
I would love to do this =)!
This must be an amazing experience =)!
But.. well.. first priority is to go back to “college” in my own country ;)
svstk is procrastinating like there's no tomorrow
I got accepted into the Erasmus programme and I am glad to announce that I will be studying in Poland for the spring semester next year (from February to June)! Now all I have to do is get all the extensive paperwork done and buy a plane ticket. I’ll be studying at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw and I’m really looking forward to starting my Polish classes in the fall. Yay me _

I really want to study abroad sometime during high school. I’m now finishing up freshman year, with little time to get ready to leave for sophomore year, so I suppose I can only do it junior or senior year.
I want to be able to understand the language of the country I go to so I can get good grades and appreciate my time there instead of just being confused. At this point I think I will only know English and Japanese kind of fluently by senior year. Since one of the best parts of studying abroad is immersion for language learning, I’d like to go to Japan.
If I end up running out of time before I can convince my parents to let me go, I guess I’ll just try in college, but that’s worst-case scenario.
Any suggestions for my goal? :)
(If I can I’d like to do this through Rotary. I’d have to start planning really soon though if I want to go junior year)
stcybaby21 is back!!!
