bowl better

Yay! I can actually say that now I can bowl better! :) I used to be a spinner but this worked adversely on oily lanes which also happened to be competition lanes and this got me into a lot of trouble.

So, after exams, me and a couple of friends whom are also bowlers decided to take up private coaching. I suppose it is rather expensive at 64$ per session (lanes included) but it’s definitely worth it! I have improved so much! I never thought I’d see the day where my ball would actually hook, but now I have! I also have more control over the power and accuracy of my ball. It’s quite funny because most people start out hooking then later change to spinning but I’m just the opposite.

My ball’s in really bad shape now though. It’s quite an old ball – Road Hawg by Hammer. I think I might need to get a replacement soon, just too lazy to drive all the way down to the pro shop that does my drilling.

I’m still going for private training now and still improving as I go along. The next major competition is going to be March next year and I really hope I’ll be good enough to get selected to go. Competitions are such an eye-opener! :)

It is so difficult to find any book on the subject of bowling – especially where I am staying (Malaysia).
Anyone can help?
