A storm passed through late this afternoon. DH, DD4, DS2 and I lounged in the back room with the windows open enjoying the sounds and smells of the rain, wind, thunder and lightning, and munching on chips and talking and listening to the rain. Just a lovely time! It was such a hot day today, but it’s cooled off beautifully now.:-)

On a humid, luke-warm summer evening, I sat on my back porch and listened to the rain. I just sat there, closed my eyes, and listened. Its very soothing, and the air and all was relaxing. I even pulled out a book and started to read a little. These days thinking about just sitting outside and doing that is not common. Lol. I love it, and I plan to do it again if it happens!

I’ve been listening to the rain for the past hour or so while puttering around this early Saturday morning.

Sometimes if i wake up early in the morning & it’s raining i lay in bed & listen to it for a while till i fall back to sleep
