own a kate spade purse

her shoes are hot too. !!!

I got my first Kate Spade bag 3 years ago from my now husband. Since then, I have purchased 2 others myself. My husband also bought me a Kate Spade Diaper Bag when I had our child. To anyone who does not have one, they are totally worth the money.

i loooove it.

But would cost the arm I would wear it on.
Hopefully I can find one I like on sale someday.

why are those purses so dang cute but so expensive?? and the shoes?? oh la la! its torture lookin at them and not being able to have them.

I recently joked with a friend that my epitaph would read “Loving Mother, Faithful Wife, Proud Owner of a kate spade Handbag.” kate spade is my absolute favorite purse designer – classy and unique all at once. After months of perusing ebay, Amazon, and a million other different sites (even almost resorting to one of those ‘designer knockoffs’) my darling husband dragged me to the kate spade boutique in SF where we found the most adorable New York Stripe piper handbag on sale about $50 off original price. I know it sounds terribly shallow of me, but good GOD I felt so Marlo Thomas walking out of the store with my cute little purse. With the song ‘Pretty Woman’ playing in my head. hee.

Anyway, bottom line, moral of the story, etc: Sometimes the real thing is really worth it. Especially if you’re patient. Things CAN be found on sale. And certain brands aren’t worth getting the knockoff of.

And, marry a guy who shops better than you do. Not all of them are gay. Some are just metro.

p.s. The same friend mentioned at the beginning of the above paragraph got me a second, smaller kate for my birthday. Friends rock!
