gotta work on this. snorking down a granola bar and V8 while looking at my e-mail just doesn’t help my stress level.

    and why shouldn't I?? 19 months ago

I sit at my desk EVERYDAY, thinking I am banking time for when I want to leave early, but I NEVER do. I have enough personal time if I want to leave early, so my plan is to get out, get moving, and spend the time I am given on MYSELF!!

More Lunch Dates 23 months ago

The best way to get out seems to be scheduling time out of the office for lunch dates with colleagues, mentors etc. and blocking it on my calendar early. Since my last post I’ve averaged one lunch date a week and take some time for lunch daily. My goal is to up this to two lunch dates/meetings a week, as a way of networking/ catching up with friends and taking a break during stressful days.

—-still need to get out and go walking!

    It's my 30 minutes! 2 years ago

I secretly love alluding to the fact I never take lunch to my boss/ coworkers or if I do it’s 5 minutes at my desk. It makes me feel like I work harder than everyone else and maybe I do—OR maybe I just don’t know when to leave my desk.

    1. I’m not getting a promotion for that 150 minutes a week I don’t take. 2.I’m also not getting any exercise sitting on my can. 3. It’s not like the rest of the division even notices I’m e-mailing away etc. They are out enjoying lunch. 4.Lunch is a great opportunity to maintain friendships and cultivate a network.

Seriously what am I thinking sitting inside all day in SAN DIEGO. I could go for a sunny stroll in the park even in the middle of December. Time to change this picture!
