apply to 100 jobs in the month of December

I couldn’t get up the motivation to get this done, so I give up. I think a slower pace is more my speed.

This is the tough part for me. I’ve been out of my own social circles, including my work circles, for a couple of months now, so it’s hard to go back to waving a little hand in the air, saying, “Hey…I’m still here, and by the way? Would you be one of my references?”

But I need to line these ducks up (in the job search process, not the people). I’m going to take the easier route for the moment, which is to write them.

I’m not doing well on this one. Wonder why?

11. Fullerton general office job through Apple One staffing agency. Hours are 8-5pm for engineering firm.

12. General Office Clerk, San Dimas, through the Ajilon Office agency. Two-week, temporary year-end assignment.

13. Administrative Assistant, insurance office in Brea, through Apple One. Fast-paced, wear many hats. Computer saavy, work under pressure, be well organized.

14. Created account with journalismjobs.com and uploaded my resume. (I’m productive today!)

15. Checked out mandy.com. Not for me. Primarily for the movie making beezwax.

16. Updated CareerBuilder.com resumes. I hate CareerBuilder. The format’s annoying, but it’s a big job board, so I did it. Let them find me, as they say.

17. Wrote a letter of interest to Armstrong Gardens.

Now it’s time to put away the job stuff till another day.

I’m keeping tallies in another place. But today, I got a lot done.
1. Uploaded two resumes to Monster and applied to one job.
2. Quick search of journalismjobs.com.
3. Followed up on ghostwriting assignment.
4. Applied for admission for journalism classes.

I’m making this a game for myself. I’m going to apply to 100 jobs in December, or at least see how many I apply to before I get offered one. I’m going to list what I apply for.
