Ok…so maybe getting a tattoo was the first inappropriate thing. That doesn’t sound right, does it? What I mean is, doing things without stopping to think that it’s not appropriate or the right thing to do. It is my birthday in a few days and I’ve been thinking about the inappropriateness of the past 12 months.
Earlier this year I took a chance with a guy I’d gotten close with. He was younger than me which I struggled with but it was a mad kind of crazy how happy and smiley we were. I loved having someone to go to the cinema with and someone who understood that all I wanted after a long, hard day at work was tinned spaghetti on toast and a hug. He was the first guy in a long time who listened to what I had to say and remembered things too!
Just when I was getting my head round the fact I’d fallen for this guy and wonder how things could go from getting together and seeing what happened to something bigger, he called it a day. I’m not sure if being annoyingly, ecstatically happy for a short time was worth the price of losing a friendship but I suppose that is what doing inappropriate things is all about – taking a risk!
