my joints.  — 4 months ago

even though i’d love to accomplish this goal, i’m going to put it to the side for now. the pain in my joints that i incur after a 1 mile run is too great for me to think about a 5-mile journey.

it really pains me to give up on this one, but it’s for the better of my body.

Run  — 4 months ago

I want to be able to run 5 miles. I’d love to be able to jog along the beach in the mornings

Worth doing!

I haven’t been running since December, and I was doing 4 miles back then.
Since December, I’ve been walking a lot… and it’s really kept me in shape.

Today, I just up and ran 5 miles straight!!! it was awesome! =]

I want to become a doctor/ surgeon!  — 7 months ago

I want to become a doctor/surgeon. Because I have had surgery 3 times.
And all the doctors and surgeons in the room changed my life around. It was great!

I’m almost there. Saturday I ran 4.25 miles. If I hadn’t slowed down to run with the girls, I’m sure I’d be well past 5 miles by now. As it is, I’m still tying on my shoes most mornings and hitting the streets.

So I haven’t been running as much, because I bought a bike, and now I’ve been biking more! It’s building up the endurance I’ll need though, so it’s helping!

training  — 10 months ago

so, i know for some people this might not seem that hard of a goal, and its not the actual distance, its more that i hate running. i dont have very good ankles, from years of dance when i was younger, and i just dont enjoy running in general. however, i want to be able to know that i can do this, so im going to do it. whatever it takes. time to start training!

I lived!  — 11 months ago

Worth doing!

I was seriously burned out, and I’ve only been able to do it once so far…

5 miles hurts I tell you…

The second time I tried, I failed big time and got around 3-4 miles.

but I’m trying to work my way up to getting 6 miles without dying so I can do 5 comfortably.

But all in all, I frickin did it! I feel like an athlete!

Good luck to everyone else

running is not my focus now or anytime in the near future...  — 1 year ago

If I change this perspective, I will re-add this goal because it would be a fine thing, I tell you, a fine thing to run 5 miles.
