heading south from Princes Street
early PM
this elderly gentleman wore a cap of some Scottish regiment (a cap with a red and white checked band and a badge)
as he sat down he said to the passenger in the aisle seat a seat for an old soldier. He was keen to chat to this lady sitting next to him. He divulged during this chat that he was a great-grandfather and only 67.
strong character

photos I’m very aware that the most interesting subjects are the people that you see on the street, or on the bus, or other public places. I cannot take photos of people, so word pictures will have to do instead.
Things to take note of, and constraints:
- bus route
- direction of travel
- time of day
- dress of subject
- things I learned or deduced from observing or overhearing the subject
- conjectures concerning the subject
- tone of voice of piece to be empathetic, showing goodwill towards the subject
