save more so that I can invest more

..someone called me, saying they have my cheque. Turned out a policy I took issued a bonus and the amount was not shabby either. More than enough to pay off my current credit card debt. Which should mean I’ll have more to put aside into my savings monthly. Yay indeed.. :D

..to pay off credit card. On another note, the unit trust investment finally cleared a few weeks ago. Hope the funds perform well and I hope to make at least 15 years in 2 years time.

Because of the additional taxes I had to pay, I missed one major payment and have had to pay a few items with my Visa card. I think I’m gonna be broke even before I get this month’s pay. Damn income taxes! I am going to give more money to charity so that I can maximise my rebates next year. That may not be the right intention but I would rather see my money go that way than get locked up in the taxman coffers!

..from my retirement fund for a small investment in unit trusts. Friends who have done this said the returns are good, some in excess of 20%. Not for the short term though. Figured i can afford this and a new fund just got launched. Done deal now, maybe i will invest more if i can in 6 to 9 months time.

..but I managed to stash away some cash from this month’s payday. And no matter how miserably broke I was last month, i didn’t withdraw money from my (still tiny) nest egg. Yay me! :D
