Find a new artist each week

I have been really doing well with this… Not exactly each week, but I am finding a lot of new artists that I really enjoy.

I look back though, and the old stuff is still the best and always brings a nostalgic feeling along with it when I pull it out and listen to it again.

I was trying to find this song ‘she fell out’ by Crystal Castles, and in the process I found about 20+ bands by searching every myspace and webpage for this song including the Klaxons, Justice, Guns N Bombs, Digitalism, and health.

I have been finding new artists, such as the helio sequence, but I haven’t really been talking about them, or finding one each week. It is a slow, gradual process, but so far I have found about 4 bands, and a few dj’s that I truly enjoy. Life is so hectic!

My friend Violet though of this, and I though it would be a great idea. She would find an artist, and I would find an artist every week, we would listen to a few of their songs, and then we would discuss them and have each other listen to the songs we have and then then come to a conclusion on whether or not we like them. That way, I can expand my music collections and find new artists and even forms or genres of music that I find attractive. I think it is such a great idea!!! I put this into a goal because I need to find time to do it…
