How I did it: Learn your derivatives and integrals, especially with the trigonometric functions. Do the homework or you will feel the pain during your exams. How I did it: After learning i might not pass, and knowing that my college entrance was riding on passing this class, i buckled down and got to work. Re-read the chapters, Do example problems, study, review homework problems, and always ask for help. My problem was I would ignore the problems I got wrong and never go back and review. How I did it: i would answer all the exercises in the book, even those that the teacher did not assign. before the tests i made sure to consult with the teacher to get a "mini-tutorial session" just to make sure i understand things correctly. my teacher was very accomodating. i'm sure many teachers will do the same. I have 4 calculus’ tests in total. I already made 2 and went really well on them, but monday is the 3rd and oh my god I don’t know nothing. With the other 2, the subject was almost fun to study, I even understood some calculus’ jokes and was really happy about it, haha.
But I skipped some classes, let to start studying just now, and in the moment am very afraid of that test on monday .-.

Who thought the Biology course would have so much calculus, physics and chemistry? I know I wouldn’t, and as I’m terrible with numbers, they are my priority in studies now. I almost failed in chemistry in the first semester but managed to pass, and now I have to take care of physics and calculus at the same time. A lot of days in the library awaits for me.

Well, I’ve already dropped the class because I noticed that I was sure not ready yet. Talking about it today with my friend who has a math-major husband, infact he was my teacher in a previous math class, I learned that he would be happy to help me. I’ll definitely spend this term of easy classes to prepare myself to jump back into it. I need the class for my business degree, so It’s a must.

I had not taken a math class in 3 years then I decided to go to graduate school and had to take calculus to fulfill the prerequisites. My thyroid disease flared up real bad during the semester, which affected my ability to focus. It didn’t look good for a while but I managed to pull through and get a B.
It was a hard class for me but it was interesting. I like math so I’m very glad I did it.
I was able to escape calculus in college, but Now I am ready to face the monster. In general I am very rossty in math. well I have registered for it, will be taking it next sping 2008 and I am determined to A’s it, co’s i’ve got a plan. I will update you guy with time. Dont forget to check back.
