Cdngirl2 I'm back!!! Did you miss me?
but I think it’s something that’s never truly ‘done’.
I am doing a lot better at not stressing out so much so I’m marking this as pseudo done!

Sigh…:(
I feel like I need a really good cry.

Well, I wasn’t a happy camper today…
Last night I took out the kiddies with me so that I could get new mini lights for the tree. I find it difficult to shop with the kids. I sometimes get frustrated and end up either leaving the store with nothing or with something I don’t really want.
Yesterday was one of those days. The clerk in the store was raving about these LED lights and I, being Ms. Energy Conscious, thought “Yeah, I should have LEDs”. Well, I bought 6 boxes (600 lights total) and spent just over $100! I plugged them in at home and thought “I don’t really like these but they are more energy efficient” and so started to apply them in the professional format that I’ve always wanted to do (wrapping each branch from trunk to tip and back). After 2 hours and 45 minutes I was done…well, I ran out of lights actually. I needed to buy two more boxes in order to finish but when hubby found out he refused to condone the purchase. Plus, I still didn’t like how it looked in general—finished or not.
So after much contemplation (probably too much) I removed all the lights from the tree and took them back to the store.
I purchased 4 boxes of incandescents (200’s) and the tree looks wonderful.
I have been one grumpy girl though…I really hated putting the first lights on, then I hated taking them off – and putting the incandescents on wasn’t very much fun since I’m tired of this whole ordeal. I am truly surprised that there are any needles left on the tree!
I was stressed but, aside from a little barking at the kids, I was okay in the end.
I will never, I repeat – NEVER – try to wrap each branch of a Christmas tree again! It looks better draped casually around the tree anyway (I wrap the trunk with one strand then go around the tree with an inside loop and then finish with an outside loop and it looks fabulous!)
Now…for the ornaments! :)

I am so desperate for ‘me’ time but it seems every free moment is being taken up by something else.
It makes it hard to stress out when you are feeling overwhelmed.
The message here is: Carve out time for you each day and don’t let anyone or anything (short of something life-threatening) stop you from having it.

Okay… pretend you’re me…if you’re male – well, you have more pretending to do….
Your husband typically leaves before breakfast and typically gets home after your children are in bed and will sometimes only take one day off per week.
That one day off per week has, lately, been used to do stuff around the house… you know, that same place I am all week… ya, that one…
I’ll go to my parents house once per week but I generally have to fill my little darlings’ social calendar with other things like trips to the park, bicycle rides, etc. – you get the idea… sometimes the monotony gets to you…
Oh yeah, add to that your two wonderful glorious kids who also happen to be very active – in a good way, but still ACTIVE…
sometimes I just dream of being in a comfy chair with a good book and complete silence…
School is just getting out and I’m already planning what I’m going to do with the 2 hours I’ll have to myself now that they’ll both be in school half-days! lol
Shopping for groceries… all by myself…. yahooooo!

I always seem to be tired…
My doctor checked my iron levels and found everything to be fine last time I saw her. She claims that it’s normal to be tired when you are a stay-at-home Mom of two little ones. Working Mothers, of course, have this too!
I think I we stay-at-homers have the added mental stress that comes with “active” kids and limited adult interaction (the kind where no kids are around).
I started taking Greens; a natural product which gives your energy supply a boost. I normally only take one per day (out of three—the initial recommended dose) but today I took two and I feel like I’m on hyperspeed!! A little too anxious today… I think I’ll go back to one tomorrow!
I’m not an advocate of pills but these are like vitamins so, okay in my book.

Ok… this time it’s serious.
Repairman is scheduled for tomorrow.
Of course it broke down over the weekend…stress factor, oh about a 7 or 8!
I hate having to cook up everything and eat as much as I can with the kids…plus, it totally crushes my attempts to watch what I’m eating!
Aaarghh!!!

Do you ever have those weeks??
It started out okay but then I had two or three days where the kids just wouldn’t let up and they drove me nuts!
Then, by the end of the week – even if they are pretty good now – the slightest bad thing makes me freak!?*
I need to relax, man!
Hubby’s working late but will be off tomorrow (yeah! backup!)
This year is going to be a real challenge and keeping stress levels down is very very difficult for me. I’m hoping i will be able to cope and bestress free.
Yeah, right, is this even possible? A little advice in this area might be in order!! Ok, Ok, stressing out is killing all of us, but it’s a side effect of LIFE! Who can work a full time job, take care of 2 kids, a husband, a home, and everything else under the sun, and not stress out! The bills are not going to pay themselves, or just “go away” like my husband likes to believe, but I guess since I am the one who “stresses” about taking care of everything, what does it matter to him. Since this is a new goal of mine because I would like to see my daughter have children of her own, I would love some tips!
