Organize my freaking sock drawer! And remind bedhead2 to organize her freaking closet! And both of us post photos when they are all beautiful and organized!

Almost two years after I originally posted this goal, but it’s done! Woohoo!

I have two shelves. When our house guest leaves I’ll put the other one in there. That should help.

It’s all in the living room.
I realized that what I lack is shelving. I moved a book shelf into the closet but it’s not enough!

Now I am going to throw away recycling and things…
after I finish procrastinating ….

My boyfriends dad is coming to stay with us at the end of the month.
Everything that’s messy and unorganized will have to be fixed before he comes. Oh my! We started organizing this morning….The closet will be my biggest project.

My closet now has clothes in it (in a pile) along with big random things from the apartment, like a water stand. It’s not looking good and M. said today “You’ve got to clean that closet”. I told him I couldn’t & that I need shelves. Not everything in that place fits on a hanger. Maybe I should build some. Maybe I should just throw 1/2 of it away.

I cleaned it and then messed it up again w/ clothes. Time to get all of the clothes on hangers.

This goal is almost done. I can’t believe it.
I dragged every last thing out of my closet the other day. That alone was exhausting. I put my surf board down stairs, my bike downstairs, a few big boxes too.
I took all the clothes out and washed them. All of the books are out and ready to go into the bookshelves. I need to deal with the random items now. Paperwork, photos, ‘special’ items that need a good spot. I realized that I just don’t have enough closet/storage space here. :( That doesn’t help someone like me to be super organized. I might have to buy some plastic bins to create more order.

My friend is coming by to help me clean on Tuesday. She is helping me because I helped her clean two other times. I am going to make the closet (storage place for all items) the focus of my cleaning that day.
I might move some of the bigger items that are in the way to the storage downstairs. I might give away the bike rack that scratched my car :( and ….wash and organize all of my clothes.
AS a matter of fact, maybe I will buy some big plastic organizer bins before that day so that I can store stuff there and stack them up.
I also need to deal with my books. I have a lot of books in the living room. Too many books. I think I will move some of my less favorite less used books to the closet and keep them organized there.
When we clean, I would like to do the closet. The books. The cabinet in the hallway and my desk area. Whew! With a friend it won’t take long.

My boyfriend told me today that the cats are too messy and bother him. Also, he doesn’t like my clutter. He is a minimalist. I like my things. I need to try to get rid of what I don’t need ASAP so we can live in harmony. Uggh!

the half that I have finished I am maintaining in a blissfully organized state. Ommmmm!

The other half has not yet achieved nirvana.
