I wanted to write a song just for kicks (and because I like singing). First I chose the chords I wanted based on how they “felt” together. Then I was one day inspired by a story that I love and something that related to me. I then started to join the lyrics with the chords, and then created the chorus. I can’t seem to finish a song. I mean technically songs don’t have to be a full 2 versus, a chorus, and a bridge. But I still don’t feel like any of the songs I write finished.

When I try to intentionally write a song, it’s never as good as me just randomly singing lyrics that pop out of my head. I always forget to write it down or forget what the lyrics are also. 1 month ago
