How to write a song by subtleycrazy

"it's not that hard if you're into poetry and listen to a whole lot of music. I love to write allready, and so when i started writing songs it came quite naturally. "

How I did it: songs are similiar to poetry, accept more rhyming is required and different meanings are usually implied. With songwriting, you have to be ready to truly express yourself and write your heart out. Being sad, angry, or excited all help you accompish a deeper, more meaningful song. If you're trying to write a pop song or something- don't take my advice. real music is music where you pour your heart and soul into it, not a bunch of fancy break up songs.

Lessons & tips: Be ready to learn from others, be honest, know what you're writing about, and be willing to make changes if needed. I've scratched entire songs before and started over- if that's what it takes to write well, do it.

Resources: my best friend's family are all musically talented- taking advice, listening, watching, and being willing to have people critisize always helps.
