How I did it: I got my masters at NYU in May 2008. My undergraduate degree was in Studio Art with minors in Women's Studies & Psychology. During my program, I interned with Visiting Nurse Services at a day center for the frail elderly and at a pediatric hospital for medically fragile children from birth to age 21. I have since gone on to work in a grant funded position at the same pediatric hospital. My thesis was a case study of a sensory-defensive child I treated with individual art therapy.
