Amy Taylor has been working harder to work towards her goals.
I did the smallest bit of cross-stitch you can imagine, but atleast i can say i worked on this goal….a little bit.
I just don’t seem to have the patience at the moment to complete this.
How I did it: I did it for a school exam ( the junior certificate) here in Ireland. I chose a pattern(ended up choocing one which would be suitable for a baby's room) There was loads of teddybears, pastel colours. It's gorgeous!!
Lessons & tips: You just get better at it over time, don't give up even if your fingers are dying!!!!:-)

I have now completed the goal i was working on the most – (Watch 50 movies in 2009), I now have time to put this as my most important goal for now.
So today i am going to crack on with this cross-stitch, which as of now has taken me nearly 3 years!
I have only done just over 1/3 of it i would say so wish me luck!

I really like this pattern, but I can see it’s going to take me FOREVER. This portion is the very center of the design, and it stretches out quite far in all directions. Quite an undertaking, but it’ll be fun. :)

that I was originally working on with this goal is no more. :( I tried to rip out some misplaced stitches…and ended up cutting a hole in the adidas cloth. Not good. I don’t know if I can salvage it. In the meantime it’s in a bag in my closet and will come out again when I feel brave enough to face it.
Looking on the bright side, I started another sampler that I really like. It uses a lot of colors and is full of flowers and cute motifs. I’m excited to be starting something new.
I started this “Precious Moments” pattern over two years ago with the intention of finishing it before my daughter was born (which happend Dec ‘05) and then doing an additional pattern each year and then making them into a quilt when I had done 5… so, I’m not just behind on this one, I still need to do two more to catch up! I just have a bit of a goose body and some grass and back-stitching to do for this one and then I can start on another. Now that I have a job with a lot of down time, I’ve been able to get some of this one done!

I really don’t need a new hobby. I have enough hobbies to choke a large horse. But I found a lovely cross-stitch that I started years ago when I was cleaning out my closet. I love the pattern so I hope I can finish it and give it a more fitting place on the wall.
