as someone from new england who also watches hockey its always been kind of embarassing that i couldnt skate. ths winter i will have plenty of time to skate and i already have people willing to teach me

Adding to this I’ve recently skated this winter with my good friend Alex. He plays on a hockey juniors team in my town and loaned me a pair of skates to practice with. I’ve been a couple times and although i’m by no means a pro, I’ve improved a lot and with some more practice I would be a very proficient skater. Next on the list is to improve some of my stick handling ability so I can play some hockey. 2 years ago

Took a course, overcame my fear of gliding – and away I go!

Completed two lessons now, a long way off actually skating, but am smiling on the ice which is a HUGE step! 18 months ago
