loveinthecureUntitled

I have a friend who is an artist and I wanted to create a site for him. I actually have more than one friend who is an artist and I want to create sites for all of them. I finally finished one tonight with the artists approval! GUSTAVO PONCE came over tonight and we fixed all the little problems! I am very proud of this site because it completely shows off what Gustavo can do! I wish I could incorporate more of the stuff he has done but I just need to make a more concerted effort in going to his shows and taking images so I can get the site to have the correct type of content.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF THE SITE I DID! 4 years ago

loveinthecurelearning is fun

10 major organ systems in the human body

I think our bodies are the most amazing things we have around us on this earth. The earth is pretty amazing itself as well but wow – the human body is the bomb. It can do so much and is intricate it is shocking and mind blowing. I can’t believe there are so many systems that allow us to function. No wonder we need to be careful what we do with our bodies and what we put into them! I am still not sure why humans don’t treat their bodies better, why I don’t treat my body better? I need to do that more – I need to be nicer to my body – I stopped drinking soda and caffeine due to my pregnancy – now I could technically pick it back up but I shouldn’t because my systems would rather me not! My body will be happier with me. Considering I’m going to live to be 112 I should treat my body nicer. 4 years ago

loveinthecuresimilarities

I was laughing so hard today during the time I watched the Baseball show because of this ! He had “Stengelese” which is similar to this goal but means something totally different but still it was confusing at first! Sometimes life and life coincide! 4 years ago

loveinthecureInternet Finds

Here is another great example of why I love the internet.

I belong to a few groups on LJ – I’ve spoken about a few already on my posts. I used to quilt and I still belong to a quilting one as it gives me the dreams to continue someday.

I liked one of the quilt posters icons so I clicked on her profile (which of course has a cool name (acdcjen) and found nothing because it is a private journal but she has a link to a site called FATCATRADIONETWORK! Cool beans – it is a station for independent music (rock, blues, punk, and metal) They’ve been around since 2001. I really have enjoyed it so far! It is these types of discovery’s that remind me that the internet has valuable things to offer.

I think the biggest thing I get a kick out of is how I find the “jewel”. They don’t just pop out of no where – there is a journal involved that allows me to find the jewel. It is awesome.

What jewel have you found lately and what type of adventure did you have? 4 years ago

loveinthecureBaseball (9 disc series)

Baseball a series by Ken Burns has been in our netflic’s for a while now. We have three disc’s left. I originally wanted to watch them to become more familiar to what baseball is all about. I just finished watching the disc with Jackie Robinson. He was the first African-American player in the twentieth-century Major Leagues.

I also learned a ton more about Babe Ruth. I am glad now that I was able to see a game at Yankee Stadium.

This series is quite interesting. I can’t wait to see the next three discs. 5 years ago

loveinthecurerealized that I never explained this goal:

An appreciation for or interest in fine objects of art.

I found the following definition one day and thought it was perfect for what I was looking for on my Fridays! Art of course means a million different things to me so I can include a lot with this goal.

Appreciation for the world period! Interest in the world around me so I continue to live and be a part of the world. 5 years ago

loveinthecureTrying to figure out...

...the book I was sent for my birthday! It is in Dutch I think – - – and has great illustrations in it with an entry for each month. I looked up the names of people referenced or they might be just nouns? but there isn’t anything coming up on the internet (It is joyful when the internet can’t answer all my questions!)

Den Gronne Portefeuille is the title and I think it is from 1814. A reprint…2000

Very interesting. I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet? I might use it as a new date book and put my family/friends birth dates and/or other special dates in the book instead of what I use right now. 5 years ago

Moleskine

I am thinking of using up all my journals and using these ones exclusively or just learning to make my own. I think it would be good to use my own. I’ll have to teach myself and impress oye_vey so she’ll know she isn’t the only one who can make a book :) 5 years ago

loveinthecure$100 #3

Last one… The evening sky line was beautiful. We got out of the parking lot before 11 which was good. I promised myself a long time ago I’d never leave a game early! :)

Anyway, it was a great date… 5 years ago

first we were hoping to bring in some food – but our knowledge of LA or I should say lack of knowledge didn’t allow that to happen. 5 years ago

loveinthecurehere is how it went...

...
yahoo email
yahoo main page (http://www.yahoo.com/)
then I clicked on a video
which then took me to these
and these which then made me realize that Mattie had a great impact on this planet but that this Carter dude also has done the same! But then I couldn’t stop there, I had to find out what the other foundations from the Three Dot Dash were about…Like We Are Family Foundation which of course got me interested in the music behind it because I’m an 80’s freak! So, I really can’t believe that “these humans” are all interconnected – it is amazingly wonderful!

Such as Nile Rodgers who did THIS which led to THIS which brought so many memories back to me from when I was in high school.

It isn’t over yet…. 5 years ago

loveinthecureDisk One of the Baseball Series from PBS

We received the first disk of this series from Netflix last week. I finished watching it tonight and enjoyed learning about the origins of baseball. I wondered when the NFL started… it seemed that baseball started so much longer than football. Football is much more of a baby than baseball not having started until the 20’s or so. Or at least as a identifiable business.

Oh the joys of humans, how we do things sometimes amazes me. 5 years ago

loveinthecureNew Music to me is one of my favorite things.

And having a computer with high speed helps me to learn to love it without having to leave my son to a sitter to go see it live (which I can’t wait until he is an almost adult so I can take him with me!)

loveinthecureCollege Basketball ...

...is fun! We had a great time seeing the game today – we won and the game was close – we had the lead most of the time but the point spread was no more than 10 at a time. I enjoyed it a lot. I wish I budgeted season tickets. I think we as a family will really enjoy the baseball also!

YEAH HIGHLANDERS! 5 years ago

loveinthecureThe Little Prince

Antoine De Saint-Exupery wrote The Little Prince which I recently re-read. I still don’t “get” the book but I think I get parts of it. I am glad I read about him after reading the book because his life story would have tainted my reading of the book. I’ll have to read it again soon.

Thanks oye_vey for suggesting it. 5 years ago

loveinthecureSurf's Up!
