So happy that I managed to do it 3 nights in a roll from 40-60 mins each day. It’s likely I am going to miss it today bc I am driving home and yoga is not possible when my niece and nephew are around. But I will try to do some stretching when I am alone..

joyjoeiAnother 40 mins on Wednesday..

Life in this week is easy, not too busy to avoid yoga, so I will try to do it at least 40 mins until Friday night.

I didn’t want to get up and leave my bed this morning when it was light outside. Running in the morning and doing yoga at night is pretty hard for me to get up and go for a run the next morning. But if felt so good when doing it. I feel like the yoga mojo is coming back after I’ve lost it a few weeks ago.

joyjoeiLast night

I closed my shop early and there was no excuse not to do it; I wasn’t tired from running bc I didn’t run and I had plenty of time before bedtime. So, I got down on the mat and started stretching with simple poses. It felt so good as my mind started to get quiet. It felt like I got connected with my inner peaceful self again. I was surprised that at one pose I managed to hold my hands together when I couldn’t even make them touch before. I will do it again tonight.

I still did a few poses after running, haven’t made time to do it longer than 10 mins yet. I kept telling myself..tonight, tonight.. but when the night came, I was tired and wanted to jump in bed instead. That’s why I tried to squeeze a few poses after running so I won’t feel too bad not doing it.. 3 months ago


joyjoeiI was back to doing yoga last night..

and found out that the poses I used to be able to do were hard to do and hold long, even the simple ones. So I planned to do it at least 4 nights this week and do it 40-45 mins, instead of 1 hour. Doing it 1 hour seems long to me and that’s why I kept postpoing it last week. 3 months ago

joyjoeiMonday night : 1 hour

I managed to do this pose last night but only the right leg with the left hand, not the left leg with the right hand yet. The leg was that that straigt but I was so happy that the hand could touch and hold the leg for a while.

joyjoeiAnother 50 mins for the second night

Before doing it, I felt a bit lazy but right after closing my shop, I got changed into yoga pants and sat on the floor stretching. One minute lead to 2,3,4,5.. and then 50. I kept on doing it slowly until I started to sweat, I didn’t want to stop. Told myself to enjoy trying new poses and practicing the old onces I already knew. It’s really a great time to unwind my day if I don’t hurry to jump in bed.

joyjoeiLast night,

I closed my shop early and wasn’t too tired yet so I put on yoga pants and started doing it slowly. I started with simple stretches and then tried new poses. It’s good to make a poster of various yoga poses. It’s inspiring and inviting me to try new poses. Every time I came accross new poses, I added them to the poster and tried if I could do them. It’s quite a good way to train my mind to try new things and try harder if I can’t do it at the first time. Like some poses that I couldn’t do the night before, I managed to do last night. I just have to go slow, be patient and enjoy the process. It turned out I’d done it for 50 mins last night. My secret for doing it constantly is that I started with simple stretches and then one lead to another. It kept going and I enjoy it more when I see the progress.

and it’s getting better this morning.. At first, my hands couldn’t grab one another and I was so confused which way to stretch my hands. It gets easier after lots of practices..
