stephrn ready for the next adventure
I started a new job this summer and spent most of my time focusing on that – extra classes, etc. I feel more fulfilled when I am able to pursue my art, my writing, just me… I will spend more time on this for the remaining 2 months of the year.

stephrn ready for the next adventure
With paint I randomly created an ink blot-like image on paper and left it alone for a few days. Then I went back and looked at the page. I saw an animal’s face, which evolved into a sort of punk squirrel. Crazy looking creature, but it was a lot of fun.

stephrn ready for the next adventure
My bulletin board looks neat. I tacked a purple batiked sarong over the front and created separate areas with pieces of wallpaper. Then I hung pictures of interest to me. I’d post a pic but my usb port is not functioning properly right now. blah
I doodled in my journal last night with colored pencils and added some cut out pictures.
I created “ink blots” on paper which I intend to draw on to see what they become.
I’ve been getting a lot of ideas from art blogs like this one

stephrn ready for the next adventure
In the last couple of days….
I made a new collage – hard to describe but features elements of nature.
I worked on my altered book – watercoloring 2 pages and adding some words
I created a mini shadow box display
I made (and altered a bit) a new recipe
I colored eggs with my daughter – that counts!
I want to create a spring theme on my big bulletin board but probably won’t work on it until tomorrow afternoon.

stephrn ready for the next adventure
I decided that my big bulletin board will be themed and changed at whim. Right now it is a birthday board to celebrate my birthday last week. My cards are on there, along with a picture my daughter drew me, a photo of me as a baby, birthday themed tissue paper from my gifts, calendar pages from my day.
I got 4 discontinued wallpaper books from a local store. I used to get them when I was a girl. We had decorated my doll house with them. It is fun looking through them and thinking of all the possibilities.
I decided I am going to start sending things to random people through postcardx.net.

stephrn ready for the next adventure
Just when I feel inspired to try something out, I do it. I strung some silver beaded garland around my chandelier. I made an arrangement of buddhas and candles. And today this

stephrn ready for the next adventure
Yesterday I drew some designs in my journal with colored pencil, which fits almost anyone’s definition of creativity I would imagine. But I am also considering my talking to a nurse recruiter as a creative activity. Why? Because I am considering my future and the various ways my life story could unfold. It is like a grand adventure: do I take this path or that one?

Bucket List
Yesterday my creative efforts were focused on starting a list of things I’d like to do while here on Planet Earth. I put them toward the back of my current journal – to view and to add to at my whim.

stephrn ready for the next adventure
I was pretty darn creative last night, which was good because I couldn’t sleep! So I worked on my altered book. I made a decorative magnet.
I also worked on a project I had begun before – a metal tin vase that I bought for 59 cents at the Salvation Army. I had painted it purple. Now I’ve added various stars to it. I like it so far.
