I sat down meaning to give up on this goal, because I remembered it as “use a Christmas tree as my avatar” or words to that effect. But I don’t have to give up on “enjoy Christmas tree avatar week”! I enjoyed it! I enjoyed the week offline, I enjoyed seeing many Christmas tree avatars, and I’m enjoying the week in retrospect as I catch up on my subscriptions’ entries from this time period! Yay, another goal completed, even if the picture I took of my tree never made it online. :D

Absnasm is changing changing changing.
Carrying a real Christmas tree by hand home from the shops with a couple of big heavy cans of paint is possibly one of the most painful half hours of my life. I looked like a Yuletide porcupine by the end of it. But it was worth it for this midget tree, so tiny yet covered in tat. And as Lucyann2 said, a teeny tree makes the presents look huge. We decorated it to the sounds of a rather strange Christmas CD from the front of a Select magazine, which featured festive songs from the likes of James Brown and Ed Harcourt. A bit weird, and not very traditional, but that suits me fine, although I would have liked a bit of Wizzard.
I suppose it could have been worse.

Oh, I love my tree. It smells wonderful and is decorated in glas baubles, straw stars and wooden cut-out ornaments. It’s also got the odd golden bell and a few gold sprayed pine cones.
My mom sent me the red paper star on the top, so I finally have a proper tree top.
Christmas trees are ace!!!

I stuck last year’s tree up when I saw yours :o) This year’s tree – shock horror – isn’t up yet! Hoping to get it done tonight though, so a new photo will be forthcoming then. (Though it’s the same tree and will be in the same place, so it’ll probably look just the same :-p )

...I will soon replace it with a photo of the current specimen, which is of course much prettier, bigger with MORE ornaments…
You’ll see!
