How to lose ten pounds"By making the activity fun, it never felt like work."
How I did it: I bought a better bicycle and had fun riding it. I committed to cycling to any activity that was within five miles of my home. You name it, I probably cycled there -- grocery store, post office, the deli, barber shop, the movies, and even ten miles to the mall. No driving.
I will keep cycling! Lessons & tips: I succeeded because:

How I did it: before i started this goal i had gained almost ten pounds, so naturally i wanted to lose it, and then some. so over the summer and into the fall and winter i just cut back my portions. i didn't do too much exercise because my lifestyle is already very busy; and, my arts and my schooling get my mind off of food. i started going on walks every day when the weather got warmer, and i used myfooddiary.com to track my meals. i feel very healthy… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started running on the streets but it was too hard on my knees so, I got myself a gym membership. From there I started going to the gym daily. Did at least 30 minutes of cardio and generally burned 300 cal on an average day. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Yep. Also, I didn't do a lot of exercising. I just started walking to places that were within a mile or two of my house, and I made sure I wasn't sitting down doing nothing for more than an hour or so. So I got a lot of other things done, too. :] Read how I did it…
How I did it: I rode my bike around town alot during summer. I live about a mile from the lake and a mile and a half from the library, I went about daily so it was riding about 3 miles a day. Also I took a community class in tennis and one for golf. Before I knew it, the doctor wasn't niggling me about my stupid weight vs. height graph thing. Read how I did it…

Carolyn is a self-improving extroverted builder.
Since being in my school’s musical brought me fast food every day after school (before rehearsal, daily), and a lack of exercise other than practicing the dance numbers, I gained some weight back. I started at 145, and found myself at about 141 about a month ago, and really started to watch what I ate and began to work out (again) and now I’m at 136. I’m so close to reaching this goal!
My master’s / new boyfriend had a negative effect on my weight-
I have gained 10 pounds!! (yikes)
Current stats 160 pounds 5’11’‘
Goal weight
150 pounds
Was sick this week so didn’t lose much (didn’t workout for 3 days) kept counting my calories though. Am happy with any loss, almost halfway to my goal :)

I have been biking a ton, but it turns out I’ve gained five pounds. My mom says that it is because I am building leg muscles. I just hope that the weight will start coming off soon.
Have already lost 2 pounds in less than a week :D Am doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, weight training, wearing a pedometer and counting calories. Feeling so much more energised and looking more toned already :D
Thrillzilla is wishing lauhlie was here.
...but fast food calls to me every day. I must tell myself NO!!
I plan t do this by eating better and increasing my activity level.
I feel I am strong enough and passionate enough to do it and if it takes less time great!
SprintJack is back in the saddle.
With no disrespect meant, I feel like I’m on the biggest loser where one pound means so much.
I was focused on yoga, exercising, eating less, and got nowhere. No change.
I lost focus, wasn’t exercising, doing that “tomorrow I will …” dance. I was outside quite a bit. And the result?
Down one pound. Down to 174. How does that work? Actually, never mind. I’ll take that one pound. Now, how to keep it off.

“I always feel like I'm wasting time when I'm exercising. I have a tread mill, so I run at home, I don't know if there is a better option, I listen to NPR so I feel like I'm also getting my news for the day, any suggestions?”
