"After searching for the perfect home and going through all the stuff to get the loan, we now have an amazing home and we move in 2 weeks. We can now look forward to buying more properties in the future. It's worth getting onto the property ladder."

How I did it: You really need to start saving asap. Even $100 a week is a good start so that the bank can see you can save. Also the government gives you loads of money!! So take advantage of it!!

    We’ve been looking for almost five months now. Its so hard seeing how prices are so low we put in an offer and someone else gets our home because they are paying cash. I know we will get our first home soon. It is just hard sometimes

    The offer 2 months ago

    Today our offer was accepted for our first home. Its a gorgeous 3 bed home with a massive pool and outdoor entertainment area. We just love it. This week we will be organising the pest inspection and finance. It’s all very exciting but scary at the same time. I can’t wait till we are handed the keys and get to move in. We are just waiting till everything is final.

    Scary...but exciting 15 months ago

    Being a first time home buyer is nerve wracking. You never really know who is being honest or what underlying issues the house may have…so…we bought our own house! Got to pick out the carpet and colors it was so much fun! Be prepared tho…a brand new home means a brand new blinds, appliances…sometimes even fixtures and sometimes that can be a big ouch on the pocket book if u r not prepared for it!
