My last season coaching Tee-Ball 2 years ago

My youngest daughter is 8. This is her last year in tee-ball. I have coached all four of our children through tee-ball. My teams have become, over the years, excellent. I am looking forward to “retiring” from this particular avocation due to the time it takes, the continuing rules changes, and the constant onslaught of mommies and daddies who take it a little too seriously.

I loveworking with the children, and I know the game of tee-ball inside and out. I know how to teach little kids to throw and catch, hit and run, and do it all while having fun.

With this being my last year, I want to enjoy the season second by second. I want to have an early season pizza party. I want to take the team to Charleston to the indoor gaming place with go-carts, lazer tag and video games. I want a great team picture. I want to have a pool party, and I want to go out with an all around enjoyable season.

I made a list last year of all the kids I have coached over the years, and I’d like to get a bat made with their names on it for each season. Maybe I will do that this year.
