a 60 hour work week thru the whole summer and a knee injury have put me so far behind that there’s just no way i can get caught back up. i did run my first marathon (chicago) this year, so i have that to be proud of. but i have to give this one up. i’ll get it next year. to those of you who are making it, great job and keep it up. to the rest of you, i’‘ll see you at the “run 1000 miles in 2009” goal.

With the Denver Marathon, I added up my yearly miles since Jan 1 2008 and I’m at 918.3. I should make it to 1000 this year.
86 miles for the month. I would have like to have completed a hundred miles, but hopefully I can manage that in October. Shin splints are still a problem. Not as bad as before, but they’re lingering and I can’t wait until they’re gone for good!
So…
828.15 miles down!
171.85 miles left!
shin splints and heel pain. Too many miles on the cheap running shoes I wear, so…hopefully I can get a better pair today. Asics would be nice.
Rough month all the way around. Yet I still managed 91 miles. 258 miles remaining for this goal. I have a feeling I’ll be putting in more mileage in September.
